P.S.S.A Cricket Knock Out Competition
Round 1 v Laurieton Public School
Our brilliant boys cricket team travelled across to Inman Oval, Laurieton to play their first round match against Laurieton Public School. The boys were confident of a win but a little anxious at the same time. We started by batting incredibly well. Mikha Everingham and Connor Cook were standout batsmen having to retire after reaching over 40 runs. Connor Wilkie and Fletcher Murray also batted really well reaching double figure totals. The boys finished with the highest total I have ever seen in a P.S.S.A knockout competition….. 188 runs!!!
North Haven didn't just bat well, their bowling and fielding was high class. Top bowlers included Mikha Everingham with 2 for 1, Connor Cook with 2 for 5, Bryce Cook with 2 for 8 and Connor Wilkie with 1 for 0. Laurieton Public were bowled out for 31 runs, which was a terrific effort. Man of the match was Mikha Everingham.
P.S.S.A Cricket
North Haven vs Kendall Public School
Our boys cricket travelled to Kendall to play their second round match against Kendall school.
The boys (Brad Smith and Mikha Everingham) went into bat first and made a very
solid start, seeing off some good bowling by the Kendall team. Mikha made our
highest score reaching 20 runs. After a break our team really built their innings well and ended up reaching a sizeable total of 104 runs. Well played to Bryce Cook reaching 16 runs and Matthew Cheers who scored 15 runs. Kendall started nervously and were very lucky when their best batsmen was bowled
out from a no ball. They did however bat very well and managed to choose the right ball to hit. They reached North Haven's total after the loss of four wickets. Mikha Everingham had great figures of 2 for 9.
Thank you to our captains Connor Cook and Matthew Cheers who did a good job leading our team and learnt a lot throughout this season.
